Beauty Haul

I might have gone a little nuts with this. Maybe. But all of the stuff was so gorgeous that I had to get it! That's always the excuse, I know, but I did it anyway. And I am so happy I did.

Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee

After binge watching all of Claire's videos and hearing her rave about this lip gloss, I knew I had to try it. Though I'd heard others like Tanya talk about the Butter Gloss range before, this was the push I needed to get me to try it in this particular neutral color. They're comparable to the price of my favorite Rimmel Stay Glossy glosses, but it's a totally different (yet in a great way) gloss experience.

Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Noir

Usually, I'm strictly a kohl or liquid eyeliner girl. But after soaring reviews from both Zoe and Louise about this creamy eye pencil, I had to give it a try. Though my oily eyelids prevent me from truly appreciating this product (sigh), I still reach for it when I need an easy option for my lids.

Lust List

As people who know me will attest, I'm never one to deny myself something that I really want. It might take months or years of (usually failed) saving, but I will eventually get most things that catch my eye. Even people like me need a lust list, though, and this is mine.

(Spoiler alert: I will own a lot of this by the time fall is done.)

Beauty Haul

During the past month, I've been shopping around for a variety of new beauty items for fall. Back to school is approaching, no matter how much we all deny it, and I'm planning on making the best of my college return using these variety of amazing products.

Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara

If I had to pick one thing to put on my face, it would have to be mascara. That's why I stick to what I know I like, and I don't really like to spend money on things that I'm unsure about. And whatever I do buy has to be perfect. All that being said, I would definitely buy a full tube of this mascara--and that's saying something.

Brow Tint Pen in Natural Taupe

After hearing not only Zoe, but Gabby and others talk about the Soap & Glory Brow Archery pen, I was a little confused. A pen? For your brows? How can that possibly look good? Even though the Soap & Glory one was too expensive for a spontaneous brow pen purchase, I decided to give this one a try. I have been blown away by the results.

Makeup Review

Let me be the first to say that I'm behind the ball on this trend. I purchased a Pixi Tinted Brilliance balm a few years ago, but I hated the taste and didn't wear it much. Then I bought a Revlon Colorburst balm stain about a year ago, but I lost it until recently.

I wasn't really doing well with these until a month ago, when I decided to give these apparently magical crayons a second chance.

Nail Scrubbers

Yet another free sample that has finally gotten used. Though I'm usually the biggest Butter London fan (it's from England and it's nail polish--what's not to love?), I was more than a little disappointed in these scrubbers.

H&M Highlighter v. Lancôme Serum of Light

Ever since summer started, I've wanted something to highlight my cheekbones in the (mostly nonexistent) Midwestern sun. I had my eye on a Nars one, a Benefit liquid one, and powder or liquid Nyx ones. I was even ready to spend a little money on a combined bronzer pallet like Urban Decay Flushed or Stila All Over Shimmer duo. But those would have been a bad use of my money, since I'd never even tried a highlighter before--what if it looked bad, and I had wasted my money?

Then I found a few that were bargains, so I gave those a try. In the end, I'm happy to say I found my highlighting soul mate!

Miss Manga Mascara

I saw an ad for this at a hotel in Springfield, IL, loved what I saw, and bought it at a local Walgreens the very next day. I was reluctant to try it at first, since I am extremely finicky about mascaras, but I'm glad I finally gave in and did.

Zoeva Rose Golden brush set
Ever since I saw the lovely Zoella with these beautiful brushes, I knew I had to have them. I lusted for about six months. That's a long time pining at a computer screen, people. But I decided that since my birthday is coming up and the brushes really are a good deal ($68 for eight brushes equals major savings on luxury brushes), I would order them for a present to myself.
