Diary of a World Traveler
We made it! Our trip to Asheville, North Carolina is complete, and I couldn't be happier. Mountain driving is some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. The foothills turn into giant mountains that rise up on both sides, making a cocoon for the road, and then drop off into massive riverbeds and chasms.
It's magical.
Driving through the mountains of Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina is one of my favorite journeys. Every mountain has its own shape and story, which I find fascinating. Plus, they just look awesome as they unfold in front of the car.
We also stopped by the North Carolina welcome center, where I took pictures of flowers and saw the drop off for the millionth time. It's such a great trip to go on each year. There's really no write up needed--the pictures speak for themselves.
More to come throughout the week! We're going to head to Hensersonville, rafting on the French Broad River, and maybe even the Biltmore! I'm super excited to be here, and I can't wait to share all of my adventures.
